Before the Internet came along I used to spend a lot of time in the reference room at the local public library.

I thought it was the best place to be in the world!

Yep, I’m a geek.

Oh well… but that reference room has made me a lot of money.

Recently I was in the library with my 8 year old daughter looking for books she wanted on horses.

Since the Internet came along I thought I could do all of my research online. That I think is a mistake. It’s slightly myopic.

Anyway, this book is an incredible resource for anyone trying to get into a profitable niches.

The way the book is arranged makes it easy to simply pluck the hot niches right off the pages!

If your library doesn’t have it, see if they can get it through an ‘inter-library loan’ from another library in their system.

It’s called, “Index To How To Do It Information” published by Norman Lathrop Enterprises.

ISBN: 0-910868-99-9

It’s a subject guide to How-To articles in craft, hobby, How-To and special interest magazines.

You can find a little more info on this resource at: http://www.nleindex.com but I would look at the print edition of the book.

This is an incredibly valuable resource for info-marketers or anyone considering a niche market.

The index is grouped by subject and the way I am using it is to look at those subjects that have the most listings. Those that have the most listings are the one’s editors of niche magazines have written about more often.

The magazine editors pick those topics that their readers want… so pay close attention to those subjects that show up more frequently.
