I have been buying lots of info-products on ‘how to monetize’ your blog in the last week or so and I think I’m ready to jump into the game…

Most of what I read was pretty basic stuff that I could probably have gotten free if I just looked around a bit.

The majority of people who have written books on the subject of monetizing a blog seems to think that ads on a blog or scattered affiliate links are the best way to go… but they all admit that it takes a lot of work to make a little money from adsense or affiliate products unless you generate huge traffic.

As you know, I love the books written by people who are not gurus-but just regular people who have found a unique and successful way of making money online. I call these types of books “in the trenches books” because they are usually cutting-edge techniques from the front lines of Internet marketing warfare created by real people doing real world testing of new ideas…

One book stands out above all of the books I’ve read as both a great basic “how to get started” book and offers a unique method of generating a lot of cash using a simple system and qualifies as an “in the trenches report”…

The guy who wrote this book made a single blog post that generated $15,000 (that’s fifteen thousand) in sales - but what is really interesting is that the blog started making sales when it was only a few days old- and this guy is NO guru - he got all his traffic from free search engine listing- totally organic!

That alone is worth investigating. The case study how he did it is extremely enlightening and worth your time at least to look at what he has to say. It’s a different way of blogging that takes advantage of current news items,
