As a lot of you know screen capture videos are an easy way to demonstrate software, marketing techniques online and a host of other things. They are also a quick and easy way to create info-products for sale or for demostrating a product you’re an affiliate of.
Many members have asked me about Camtasia Studio by TechSmith.com. It’s a great program. No doubts about that, but it also costs $299.
But, there is another program called Camstudio (not to be confused with Camtasia by TechSmith). Camstudio does screen capture video like Camtasia and the output is very good.
You don’t have as many options as Camtasia, but then it’s also FREE.
There are very few places on the Internet you can download it anymore. The company that created the program either went out of business or was sold. In any case, there is no support for it, but it does work very well and you shouldn’t have any problems trying to figure out how it works.
To make things easy for you I’m hosting a download of the program in this membership area. All you have to do is click here to start download now.
Let me know what you think of it ![]()

3Bad news… I’ve searched all over the Internet and it appears the company that bought their tech (Macromedia) is no longer sending codes out to anyone trying to register the software.
Sorry guys… I’m trying to find a replacement.
