Last week I told you that I have always struggled for some reason with Google AdWords.

Then I used the report from Wade Winger (Google Profits)

The great thing about this is you can do it without ’selling’ skills and even the little guy can start making money online right away without a website.

I tested 5 affiliate programs - 2 look like they will be winners, but it’s still too early to tell. I’m going to share with you one test I did in this report.

Test #1 has to do with a membership site that pays a recurring income (commission) on each new sign-up.

I started the test last Saturday, after reading Wade’s report for thr 3rd time (just to make sure I got his entire system down pat)- that was 2 days after I sent you the last letter so I have 3 solid days of testing results to share.

I didn’t go with a ClickBank product because I am trying to build more recurring income streams into my business, so I went with a reliable affiliate program that pays commissions each month as long as the sign-up continues to be a paying subscriber.

Day 1: AdWords Test #1-Membership Program
732 impressions (12 keywords)
14 clicks (1.9%)
1 Sign-up
AdWords Cost: $1.12 (.08 / click)
Net Commission: $8.50
Profit (loss): $7.38

What’s interesting about this first day was that the click ratio was high (1.9%) *and* I made a sale!

Ok, things are looking good- but as Wade says, it’s not accurate to look at one days’ results and decide you have a winner- NO!

More testing is required.

Also remember, since this is a recurring income affiliate program I will get that $8.50 for that subscriber each month! Not just one time. Over a 12 month period that’s $102 and my only cost was the $1.12 I paid for the AdWord clicks!

Day 2: AdWords Test #1-Membership Program
1382 impressions (12 keywords)
26 clicks (1.8%)
0 Sign-ups
AdWords Cost: $2.08 (.08 /click)
Net Commission: $0.00
Profit (loss): $-2.08

Today I didn’t get a single sign-up. This may not be good but I can’t abandon the campaign just yet. I’m going to increase the number of keywords and see if I can’t boost the number of impressions and clicks. I’m also going to raise my bid price to get more visibility- higher ranking.

I’m not worried about any losses because you more than make up for those with a winning campaign especially on recurring income programs.

Day 3: AdWords Test #1-Membership Program
7818 impressions (107 keywords)
70 clicks (0.9%)
3 Sign-ups
AdWords Cost: $7.70 (.11 /click)
Net Commission: $25.50
Profit (loss): $17.80

Ok, I’m back to making a profit even though my click-through ratio fell to 0.9%- but that was expected because I have increased the keywords to 107. The good news is those 3 new sign-ups are worth $306 a year to me and my only cost is $7.70.

Ok, even after only 3 days my income is $34 (or $408/yr) and my total cost is just $10.90!

This is starting to look good but I’m still not out of the testing phase. As we go along I will use the wise advice in Wade’s report to make sure it a ‘fair’ test. What is so cool about this way of doing biz on the web is that you do not need a website, just AdWords and some good affiliate programs.

Simple.

But as Wade says, you will probably only get 3 out of 10 tests to be profitable. But once those 3 start working for you you have a reliable income each and every month as long as you continue runnng ads and occassionally tweaking them.

If you have just 3 winning ads per month and you can generate $700-$900 net profit on each one that’s $2,100 to $2,700 net income with no more work!

If you have 10 campaigns working, each making $700-$900 a month that’s like $7,000 to $9,000 a month in income!

Can you see why this could be a significant business and extra income opportunity?

The important thing is test, test, test.

Here’s what I find works best for your ads:

Line 1: Use a or phrase word in your headline that shocks or draws attention like “Bummed out”, “Bananza” or “Blitz”, etc… Hint: Questions work better than statements: “Bummed Out Over AdWords Losses?”

Line 2: This should be a benefit: “Get more free time” or “Save $100 a month” or “Stop worrying” etc…

Line 3: Call to action time. Be clear what you want your potential customer to do. “Click here now”, “click to read more”, “visit now”, “etc…

One last tip, if you profit margin is low, find another product to sell or put the price of the product in the ad to reduce your ad costs. You’ll get fewer clicks, but you closing ratio should be higher.
