It’s amazing what happens in a short time.
For example, in 1999 or 2000 I registered and then sold a domain name “royalspas.com“… take a look at it now!
I had no idea at the time that there was even a USE for that name but someone has put it to good use!
Here’s another one: I registered a domain “digitalcompany.net” in 2000. I wanted to know who owned the DOTCOM version of the name so I surfed over to: “digitalcompany.com”. The business and revenues that site had created for iteself I found fascinating so in 2000 I created an info-product titled, “You Can Be An Internet Millionaire”. It was info on a specific method of creating a million dollars in income on the Internet by modeling your online business after someone who is already successful - digitalcompany.com. At the time the company’s sales were just over $1,000,000… if you check the site out and click on “Investors” you’ll see they had sales of $2,479,827 in 2003!
You can learn a lot by studying other people’s sites!
By the way, I sold “digitalcompany.net” for… are you ready for this? Just $25!
And “how much did I sell “royalspas.com” for? I sold it for $9.99!
Why so cheap? I sold them on ebaY… and that’s all the market was prepared to bid at that time.
There’s not much of a ‘point’ to today’s post, but I thought you might find these interesting ‘tidbits’ of information ![]()
Is there a lesson to be learned here? … Maybe… comments anyone?
BTW- I made $3,500 selling the copyrights to the info-product/program I created, “You Can Be An Internet Millionaire” so I did make some money from the research I did… but probably not as much as I should have!
